POSS DROP THE SUB FRAME .To replace a oil pan on a 2003 grand am with a 3.4l V6 do i need to pull the motor or drop the subframe?
if its anything like my old 1993 grand prix 3.4l v6 i had to remove back engine mounts and till the motor ahead to get the pan off,its the same motor,so id think so,if you want to 4sure find out go to automotiveforums.com and ask a guy named GTPDAD in the pontiac section that f u c k er knows everything there is to know about pontiacs
Jack up the vehicle.Use jack stands for safety.Get under the engine and you'll find out how easy it is the oil pan. Be careful though. Drain the oil into a container before even removing any bolt.
go to an auto parts store and look in the appropriate repair manual for your car... might give you some insight
