If I buy a repair manual that tells me how I can rent a garage that has a lift and all of the tools would need. I also have very little mechanical experience.Would you reccomend me changing the oil pan gasket on my 95 mustang GT?
first why do you want to change it? Second if you have a lift and some wrenches you can change it yourself. You might have to raise the engine a little to get it out. On the Mustang the Engine is dropped in from the top so the oil pan can be a bit of a job to remove. Unless it has a hole in it I would leave it alone. The thing you want to follow is the torque sequence for tightening the new one on so it does not leak. In the manual it will tell you what screws to tighten in what order and how many ftlbs of torque to use so they don't snap off in the blockWould you reccomend me changing the oil pan gasket on my 95 mustang GT?
the engine may have to be lifted slightly to remove pan, if so I would pay someone else
