How do i get burnt vegatble oil off of a frying pan and burnt oil off of cookie sheets?

We have some nice kitchen aid pans and there is burnt cooking oil on them and I would try to get the ugly black off of them if I can so does anyone know of a good way to do that? How do i get burnt vegatble oil off of a frying pan and burnt oil off of cookie sheets?
Mix baking soda with a little water to make a paste, then scrub with as SOS pad. Should come right off.How do i get burnt vegatble oil off of a frying pan and burnt oil off of cookie sheets?
I second the baking soda idea. Make it into a paste, smear it all over the oily/sticky surface, and let it sit. Scrub it off with a scratchy sponge and soap. (Note that if it's a nonstick or coated pan, you have to be very careful with scratchy things -- don't use a metal SOS or Brillo pad or steel wool, because this will make the coating flake off. You can only use a plastic scratchy sponge.)
Soak them over-night in a solution of TSP %26amp; hot water. TSP is available at any paint store, Lowe's, Home Depot etc...
If all else fails oven cleaner, just follow the directions.
SOS pad might work
