Is cooking chicken in a pan with olive oil considered frying?

im not too sure on all the different terms in cooking. Is cooking chicken in a pan with olive oil considered frying?
Yes.... it is. =)Is cooking chicken in a pan with olive oil considered frying?
If you put any oil (including olive oil) in a pan and cook in it, it's called ';frying';. A little bit of oil rubbed on the pan is not a bad way of cooking (stir fries start this way); it's when you deep fry your food that the practice becomes unhealthy. Frying with olive oil is much much better than using beef fat, for instance.
I call it pan frying even when u do french toast in light oil covering pan its good it cooks evenly food with layer of olive oil and it burns up as it cooks and gives food a butter flavor
actually it's sauteeing unless the oil covers the chicken then it's frying
Cooking chicken? I don't know but choking the chicken is the same as beating the meat.
yes, it is pan frying. any food that is cooked with oil on pan in high heat is pan frying.
