Sounds like your friend did some serious damage and you are probably going to be needing a new oil pan. Hope I am wrong, but I doubt it. wel that is a good sign of a hole and since oil pan the lowest part that might have oil of any kind that would be it need a oil pan
Rut Ro , that car has the Northstar engine, you better hope it is the filter because another car will be cheaper than the oil pan job.
check for leaks and oil sludge
