Can you spread oil on a pan and put cookies on top of them so they wont stick.?

Im trying to bake cookies and i dont have any baking sheets or cooking spray so can i spread oil on the pan so the cookies wont stick. Can you spread oil on a pan and put cookies on top of them so they wont stick.?
No you can't, your cookies will pick up the taste of the oil - rub your baking sheet with butter instead.

Try lightly spreading the cooking sheet with butter. Works better and the cookies will taste much better.
yes you can use oil..but olive oil, when you apply it on the sheet..make sure its a light coat of oil....it wont absorbe the flavor and they will pop right off after they have fully baked..
After spreading the oil....take a paper towel and wipe off the excess oil......so it is lightly coated.....some times I go over a second time with a clean paper towel.
you shouldn't need any oil. Cookie batter generally has so much butter in it, they won't stick.
No, that gives it an unnatractive taste. What I would use is margarin or butter. It works much better.
Yes I can. Can you?
