Oil Pan Plug - Do People In Arizona / Texas Have It?

Apparently in most of Europe they do not have the plug

In the North of North America they have the plug to heat the oil pan

I was just wondering since it is never cold in Texas or Phoenix (to the extent as where you need to heat your darn oil) do they have the plug?

Would dealers try to save every penny they can?

Alright THANK YOUOil Pan Plug - Do People In Arizona / Texas Have It?
All engine oil pans have a plug to drain the oil.Oil Pan Plug - Do People In Arizona / Texas Have It?
I just stuff a little bird in my oil pan for a plug!
First of all, an oil pan plug is usually just a threaded bolt, stock on all vehicles. A HEATED plug is an option, not stock. I don't know where you got your information, but most car manufacturers( in the USA) won't put on something in an area that doesn't need it. My jeep has a block heater, though, it's up near the top of the engine, and has an electric cord with AC plug coming out of it. It was an Arizona car, why did it have it? Looked factory. I don't know. Someone could have ordered it. It may have been cheap enough or a package deal so that it came with it. I live in Virginia, so don't really need it. Alaska or Maine people might use it. I don't .

But, as far as the oil pan plug, only aftermarket would probably make one, for most normal use, that's a bad place to put one, I'd think. From what I've seen in Virginia, most cars with oil pan plugs are just a bolt, no heater. That'd be a rarity to see an oil heater anywhere in Virginia ( mid-Atlantic state), mild weather zone.
i own a shop and i have seen these things on cars here in Tennessee, and it doesn't get that cold here, but a lot of people have moved here and re-tired,and they had them added while they lived in the north, but even some people here actually have them they do help with the cold starting problems on some cars and trucks, you,d probably be surprised at some of the vehicles there on,good luck hope this helps.
most vehicles that have plugs are diesel.only if you live in extreme cold you would need this. and it is a option on a vehicle you have to pay for.
