91 honda civic dx automatic oil pan gasket replacement.?

i have a 91 honda civic with a old gasket that needs replacing do i just remove all the bolts in sequential order scrape off the old remaining parts of the gasket and apply sealant to the four corners of the gasket and screw on the bolts the way i removed them?then screw on my new drain bolt , washer and new oil filter and pour in new oil.91 honda civic dx automatic oil pan gasket replacement.?
You've got the idea, it's a fairly easy job. Loosen the bolts starting with the corners 1st, then the center, then a cross pattern for the rest. This will ensure that the pan doesn't warp, use the same method for install, but don't completely torque them down until all of the bolts are snug. Also, find out if the gasket you are using is a ';dry'; gasket, meaning you don't need a sealant. Felpro gaskets have a ';PermaDry'; symbol on the back. If it's a standard gasket, use RTV black silicon gasket maker/sealant, the black formula has the highest oil resistance. Hope this helps :)
