First try hitting it from all different directions with a soft face hammer.. Or a piece of wood and a hard hammer will work too. Keep in mind that they can dent easily. Hit on a curved area. If that doesn't work use a thin wedge and try to split the gasket with it and drive it in between the metal pieces. Be careful not to scratch the gasket sealing surfaces. They can get really stuck on there from repeated heating and cooling all the time. Good luck! How do you remove the oil pan off of a 1994 VW Golf? I have all the bolts off, but it still will not come off!
dead blow hammer or mallet hit from the sides
