Originally 6 cylander want to put a 302 in , oil pan is too low for steering , what can i do?

i have 68 , 6 cyl mustang . want to put 302 in oil pan hits steering bars .will not allow motor to sit proper.what can i doOriginally 6 cylander want to put a 302 in , oil pan is too low for steering , what can i do?
Should get an oil pan that will fit the era car. That should do it.Originally 6 cylander want to put a 302 in , oil pan is too low for steering , what can i do?
change the oil pan. get a oil pan that,s not dipped out as much. if it came with a 6 cylinder you better change the rear end or the 302 will tear it out.
As the other answer says, get the right oil pan (front sump). You will need a different oil pump pick up tube also and the dip-stick location may have to be moved.
