you take off the oil pan after you drain the oil. Usually a 10mm bolt size on about 20 bolts around the gasket. There might be things in the way (i.e. downpipe, catback exhaust) that you might have to dissasemble to get to the oil pan. put the gasket on, and put it back.How to change oil pan gasket on 2003 impala?
depending on the engine you may need to lift the motor up to take the gasket out its a lot of work the starter and exhaust have to come off then the pan can drop replace and get a hayns manual to see what the torque specs are.
