You will need to remove the front diff, not too difficult. Unbolt the drive shaft and axles, they can be left in place. Remove the diff and the pan is right there.
You will need to remove the front diff, looking at a 1/2 days work done this with a 89 tahoe 4x4 blazer
its easier to drop the front differential than to pull the motor. either way it takes a good 1/2 days work with all the right tools and a lift
