You don't have to boil first.

Olive oil is really a juice. Cook with olive oil the same as if you were using wine.Ok i have onions green beans and potatoes i want to cook them all together in a pan with olive oil.....?
Cook potatoes separately . Even microwave.

Green beans, onions cook quick stovetop. Make sure use an Olive oil for cooking (not all are appropiate for it).
well it depends on how you want everything cooked. If you want healthier potatoes then boil them first with the green beaqns and cook the potatoes in a saucepan. Then when the onions are almost done add in the potatoes and green beans. If you want a non healthy way to cook them then you can fry the potatoes first and the add the onions in near the end of cooking. However i do suggest that you boil the green beans no matter what.
Boil the potatoes first. Parboil the green beans in salted water til they are 'al dente' and a very bright green. Shock them in cold water to stop the cooking process. Then you're ready to saute' them in the oil...onions first, then add the beans, potatoes go in last. Bon Apetit!!!
Potatoes take the longest, boil them first.

Green beans could be sauteed in oil alone.

Saute the onions until softened, %26amp; brown cut-up potatoes.
Saute the onions in the olive oil, add the Sliced potatoes. Turn occasionally. Add the green beans and toss do not over cook the beans. Delicious. I would season with salt, pepper, maybe some garlic, rosemary. Yum.
