How does one patch a leaking oil pan.. Ford 150?

If the leak is around the join, replace the gasket, or at least tighten the bolds holding it on.

you can patch holes. you can take the pan off and braise it. if you are out bush, and got no tools, you can fix a small hole by drilling/punching it out and putting a bolt through, and fitting a rubber washer inside and out to seal it.How does one patch a leaking oil pan.. Ford 150?
to get away with it for a short time you can use sealant around the outer edge of the sump joint. a good silicon based sealant will work(loctite blue or copper maxx). clean the edge up really. really good with brake clean and rag to remove all of the oil and dirt! then apply the sealant around the edge and let it go off before driving. if you get it clean and do it correctly it will slow the problem down until you can remove the sump. also try putting a spanner on the bolts to make sure they are tight. How does one patch a leaking oil pan..
