Is it possible to change the oil pan gasket on a 1998 oldsmobile aurora 4.0L V8 without taking out the engine?

I was told the only way to change oil pan gasket was to partially take enine out of car because exhaust runs beneath oil pan. also that it has silicone for a gasket until the first change is complete. I was also told it has break away bolts that need to be change with the first oil pan gasket change. Is this true!!!?????????Is it possible to change the oil pan gasket on a 1998 oldsmobile aurora 4.0L V8 without taking out the engine?
