I used canola oil as a base on the pan to make pancakes. Now after washing everything off, the oil made stain?

There is this orangy brown slick goop stuck to the pan, and it's very noticable. I think somehow the canola oil did something to it. What happened and how can I remove it?I used canola oil as a base on the pan to make pancakes. Now after washing everything off, the oil made stain?
I think that happens when you use oil on a pan and it gets to hot. Try spraying it with oven cleaner and let it set for awhile then scrub.I used canola oil as a base on the pan to make pancakes. Now after washing everything off, the oil made stain?
Use a generous amount of soda bicarbonate (baking soda) and water on the pan. Heat the solution over low heat until boiling, remove and leave aside for at least 12 hours before washing thoroughly.
The oil burned and left you an unpleasant mess to clean up. You can do one of four things:

1. sprinkle the whole mess with table salt and then squeeze lemon juice on it. Allow to sit about 10 minutes, then come back and scrub with 3m scrubber. (This trick takes rust off of metal too.)

2. Pour enough white vinegar into the pan to cover the mess and bring to a boil on the cooktop. Scrub with your 3m scrubber.

3. Pour Dawn Ultra all over the mess and allow to sit about 10 minutes, Then scrub it up.

4. SPrinkle liberally with baking soda then pour about 1/8 cup very hot white vingar on it and scrub while hot with 3m scrubber.
